Political Media Intern

Will be working with our team to help raise funds, persuade and mobilize supporters through online advertising, social media and PR.  We are looking for right-leaning interns to join our team to promote our clients including Candidates, PACs, Super PACs, Non-Profits, and private sector. 

Campaigns’ use of online advertising is growing exponentially & our team needs support to continue providing the best possible solutions to our clients.
We will train the Interns on the skills necessary to become fully functioning members of our team.  When the campaign season reaches its peak this fall, we want you to apply the skills you’ve learned.  Interns will have involvement and responsibilities to help with strategies and implementation of the tactics that mean the difference between victory and defeat for many of our political clients.

Qualifications:

-right leaning candidates with a strong interest in politics, marketing, and technology.

-strong computer application skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, blogger or wordpress experience.

-Excellent creative writing and verbal communication skills

-being coachable and capable of being a part of a team who can succeed in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate self-directed learning.

This internship will be part time, 20 hours a week.  The rate of pay is $5/hr (this will be a 1099 position)

Seeking a Social media Coordinator to join a growing media/consulting firm based in Washington, DC (Capitol Hill).

Job Summary:

The Social media Coordinator would oversee the development of content, collaborate on mass email outreach, graphics, marketing campaigns, copy writing, versioning and promoting search engine optimization.  The Social Media Coordinator position is an active delivery-based, hands on-role. 

Content Development and implementation will be a key focus of the Social Media Coordinator’s role.  Proven work history developing blogs, newsletters, and messages through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn is required.

The Social media Coordinator should have a flair with words and be able to convey ideas with graphics.  Basic knowledge of Photoshop and creating Memes are a must.  We are a right-leaning new media firm with many political clients ranging from city and state level to national and international thus, seek the same fit for our team.

Email Campaign Coordinator

Job Summary: Political Media is searching for an individual who is creative, data driven and can analyze performance reporting in order to translate data into actionable results for our clients.

A successful applicant in this role is someone who passionately follows Internet and social media trends.

Experience in political campaigns is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities: This position will be directly responsible for the management of email marketing programs. Process and technical training will be provided to enable effective independent performance of duties.  The coordinator is expected to learn to identify trends, opportunities and to make timely recommendations for successful email marketing campaigns to senior management. In addition, the coordinator will be called upon to support the following tasks:

  • Build and execute email campaigns, including list building and segmentation analysis.
  • Seek and provide information to determine campaign/market positioning.
  • Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of email marketing strategies.
  • Track and forecast email marketing, reporting on industry trends backed up by thorough data analysis and reporting.
  • Translate complex information into easily understandable reports, illustrating data graphically when necessary.
  • Provide management with information to support the development of proposals for the promotion, design, and pricing of company products or services
  • Work collaboratively within the creative and development teams to execute content strategy, support the production of creative assets, and the deployment email outreach campaigns.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or experience in the field preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a political campaign is a plus. This role requires experience with marketing and email or online promotional campaigns.
  • Experience in HTML and content design is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of current communications and email marketing best practices.
  • Strong communications and writing skills are required.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives on deadline simultaneously are essential.
  • The ability to work well with high visibility clients on multiple campaigns simultaneously while working independently and effectively within a diverse professional environment is a must.
